QuickJucy: Celebs Making Moves

Nonhle Thema is about to become an international star. The Vuzu presenter jetted off to New York on July 18th to have a meeting with L'Oreal bosses regarding her campaign with their Dark and Lovely brand in America. Word on the street is that the meeting is pretty much a confirmation that Nonhle's contract will be extended so that she will be the face of Dark and Lovely in the USA. Nonhle gained breakout fame with her show O Access, which flighted on Channel O for four seasons. Her meeting is said to be just a confirmation that she will feature on billboards, TV ads and magazines in the US. The diva twittered that she was about "to make history" again. Nonhle attributes her success in the showbiz world to many things but is known for always thanking God. She twittered that "Godz children never loose!" (but sometimes they can't spell properly. I joke, I joke!) She is said to be back in South Africa within a fortnight to continue working on her show V Entertainment. Love that a local girl is doing big things in entertainment all over the world!

A new show is launching in October on South Africa's public broadcaster, SABC2. It's called South Africa's Got Talent, and is based on the European version in which people who want to show off their talents audition in front of a panel of judges and the country. The judges are going to Ian von Mortemy from Strictly Come Dancing, Shado Twala and Randall Abrahams (He appeared on Idols as the mean judge. I guess this means Idols is ovah! Get that money Randall!!). I heart Ms Twala, and I would watch the show because she is sooo witty and fun to be around. (*side note* Vusi Twala is her fiiiiine son. He has now converted into a christian and a vegan, and Lord forgive us, but he looks 50 times more delicious nowadays*) Moving back to the business at hand, the show is being sponsored by Cadbury's Lunch Bar chocolate. The presenters of the show are fab 5fm girl Anele Mdoda and funny guy Rob van Vuuren. I'm almost an Anele fan, so I'm sooo glad we'll be seeing more of her bubbly personality on TV. Rob van Vuuren is one of South Africa's funniest people; he has starred in the cult TV series The Most Amazing Show and has just come back from a tour of Grahamstown.

Nigerian hip hop superstar Ikechukwu is set to host a show that's being shot in Jamaica for Channel O. It's all being kept very hush hush but my sources at Channel O say that a lot of money is being put into the show and that it will be quite the exciting production. All we know for now is that it's being shot by Bounce Back Media and that the channel is trying to keep under wraps til their promotion vehicle kicks off. So we'll stop talking about it now. Ikechukwu has also made some changes regarding his record label. He left Storm Records two months ago and is now said to be signed to D'Banj and Don Jazzy's label, Mo'Hits.
