*Oooh* More shiny sparkly paegentry news: I got this press release from Ms Farah Fortune's African Star PR company:
Miss World 2010 will again be held in South Africa this year for the second year in a row and S.A’s designers RjK Creations will be getting very creative.
RjKay made up of Reginald Molamu and Paledi Segapo, said “We have worked hard over the last two years to highlight not only our brand but our unique style and the Miss World pageant organizers have seen that and presented us with an opportunity we could not miss!”
The Miss World organizers will be hosting the official opening of Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi and RjKay Creations together with seven other local designers, Kluk CGDT, J.J Schoeman and Marc and Michael and Uyanda Mbuli's DFC label) to name a few, have been invited by Miss World to dress the Contestants for the Miss World Fashion show happening at the hotel opening, all contestants present will be taking part in this year’s pageant.
The dresses will also be showcased in South Africa on the 28th of November 2009 at Turbine hall in Newton, Johannesburg.
This creative team is made up of two individuals well versed in their field and are not only dressing the Miss World contestants for their fashion show but are also creating a garment for Current Miss S.A; Tatum Keshwar to compete in the competition in December. RjKay also dressed Tatum for her Miss Universe 2009 appearance.
Reginald Molamu, hailing from Limpopo and now resides in Johannesburg subsequent to having completed Matric, discovered his passion for fashion whilst studying interior design at the former Wits Technikon (now University of Johannesburg), he is also very well known in the fashion industry as a stylist and has presented his skills on many of our locally produced dramas including Muvhango and Ses’Khona to name a few.
The other half of RjKay Creations, Paledi Segapo, grew up in Soweto, Meadowlands Zone 1 and has an enormous corporate background having previously worked for the leading accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, IT multinational giant Oracle Corporation, Softline Pastel and First National Bank. Apart from managing RjKay Creations, Paledi is currently enrolled for a master’s program in Business Leadership and conducting a research titled Strategic Growth Options for SA Fashion Enterprise. Showing that this team compromises of beauty and brains and every sense!
Here is what Tatum will be wearing to the Miss World Pageant: (she is flanked by the two designers)

So... what do we think of the dress?

The entire ensemble is awful!! Very 'Priscilla Queen of The Desert'
I dont understand why we shame ourselves by displaying such mediocrity on international stages time after time.
South Africa has amazing designers like Gavin Rajah and Stiaan Louw etc.
Im glad Kluk and JJ Schoeman are on board, but Marc&Michael havent been relevant in ages and DFC designs are just garish and tacky knock-offs of the gowns seen on Hollywood starlets
Sum1 called it tranny mess and I agree...
people must just stop hating this is an elegant gown something the south African market have never seen beforeyes Gavin and Stiaan are amazing but RJKay is the best no wonder why is designing for this prestigious event. start appreciating our mzansi designers. big up RJK Raggy and Paledi are the best designers to hit Mzansi.
