Win Tickets to see Cathy Specific in Cape Town

Brace yourselves Cape Town for you are about to be the hosts of the most unconventional `Mile High` trolley dolly to hit our shores, as she kicks off her nationwide tour!
This sassy lady picks up her stories as she goes from airport to airport and tells them as uncensored as they come here at the New Space Theatre, so if you just came in on a flight, be careful… your story might be one she tells…
This is stand- up comedy meets musical and is a must for the holiday season.
Audiences will recognize many classic songs tailored to suit Mile High, such as Come Fly With Me, Singing In The Rain (turned into Singing On A Plane) and Strangers In The Night (turned into Strangers On A Flight.)
Cathy, in six inch heels, dominates with her powerful stage presence, but her alter ego, Brendan van Rhyn is magnetic and charismatic in his own way.
A lead role in The Judas Kiss, under the direction of Maralin Vanrenen, marked the beginning of his professional career and his most recent success has been in the starring role of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Cathy is joined by her hugely talented supporting team which includes Phumi Mncayi, a versatile professional performer with vast stage, industrial theatre, voice over and television experience and now the new face and presenter of Wina Manje And Ryan Flynn who was born into the industry, touring with his parents Bill Flynn and Anne Power in various shows from a young age. Recently he played Brad Majors in ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ and was recently nominated for a Naledi Award that performance as Best New-Comer.

The show is written by Brendan Van Rhyn and award winning director, Maralin Vanrenen, who also directs this production. Produced by Warren Batchelor of InThaZone Entertainment, who amongst others is currently producing the live broadcast of the prestigious Miss World Final to be televised right here in S.A. The set and lighting design is by Kosie House of Theatre.

Jucy Top 5: Africa's most delicious Bachelors

So every Weekend we've decided to give you something fun to read because we know the internets (yes, I meant to spell it that way) can get a bit quieter during the weekend. This read comes in the forms of lists which are our Top 5 Lists of what we consider Jucy. Last week it was Top 5 Blogs that we are loving. This week, something a bit more yummy. My top 5 list of African Bachelors. Some are famous, some are not. They are all hard working, well mannered, eligible, unmarried young men who happen to be very very hot.

First up. Sizwe Dhlomo. This whole Sizwe is hot thing can get a bit tiring for me, but clearly from your emails and comments you still on the Sizwe train. So here goes.

Sizwe is a young South African TV and radio presenter, kind of model and entrepreneur. He was the first MTV Base VJ in Africa. He has moved from what is quite a niche market to mainstream in a huge way. You can see him on Woolies ads everywhere, hear him on urban youth radio in Johannesburg on YFM. He guest presents shows like the South African Music Awards (and can't speak for a straight minute because women's screams are drowning out the mic *smh*).

Juciest bit?Sizwe is really nice, and down to earth.
Tip to get closer: He doesn't like weaves, and has coined the phrase "Leave the weave".

Pop the hood for pictures of four more of Africa's finest men!

Ok next up. From Nigeria, Umar. I'm not going to write his surname because I know how easily stalking on facebook/twitter/bbm happens. Umar works in shipping and oil. Don't ask me for details, I wasn't trying to find out what the dude does, I was just taking in all of this:

Please note the man with the white shirt's reaction to Umar:

I LOVE good side eye pictures!

Umar is pictured with Matthew Mensah on his left. Who just happens to be our next JUCY bachelor.

Matthew Mensah is a Ghanain born man who alongside a partner, Obaro Ibru, heads up the charity "Catwalk the World" which aims to alleviate the world's social problems through fashion. Find out more about them here here. Mensah works with different agencies under the United Nations to come up with campaigns to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS, eradicate child hunger and polio. He is constantly travelling around the world, trying to come up with solutions to help with the many socials ills today. Who doesn't love a fine, well dressed superhero?

Juciest Bit? Mensah works hard but can play hard as well.Tip to get closer. If you have dark, chocolatey skin you are half way in there;-)

Moving to the Cote D'Ivoire. Abdul Saaid Sangare is a music producer and part time rapper. He has produced music for MaStro who is HUGE in France and Francaphone countries. He's also worked with Kella a female rapper, who lives in Montreal. Her first solo project called "La Relève" (meaning 'The changing') is going to be released early 2010. Abdul also works in Television Production. His producer name is Nunshack, and has worked on the mixtapes "Volume One" with Black Yakuza and "Une Pirogue A La Mer" (which means canoe to the sea) with Arts Roots Clan.
Currently he is working on music projects for people in Ivory coast , France, Canada, Angola and Morocco...
He is most excited about his new mixtape "The Ivorian Takeover", which will see artists all all genres collaborate on what is set to be a hot cd.
Abdul is an ex National Tae Kwan Do team player so if you walking in the streets and it gets tough, you know he'll protect you. *swoon*

Juciest Bit? Abdul has the coolest French accent ever. He is also very chivalrous; you will always be treated like a lady.
Tip to get closer: Ladylike behaviour will get you far.

Speaking of French accents, meet Fally ipupa. He is a Congolese musician who has worked with music legends such as Koffi Olomide (google him if you don't know him), whom he has credited as a mentor. His musical style is a mix up of R&B and traditional Congolese music. His style has seen him gain success on the continent and abroad as proved by his sold out shows in Paris and New York. He has collaborated with G-Unit's Olivia on a track.
He is a gold disc selling, award winning, frenzy inducing singer but wehat I like most about him is that his skin looks like my fave chocolate. *sigh* Let's take another look:

Juciest bit? He can serenade you. Plus if you get tired of the singing you can listen to his dreamy French Accent.
Tips to get closer? Be a jetsetter...
