Fifth floor, one of Cape Town’s authentic Hip Hop outfits will be premiering their video from their latest album, Sex and Revolution. “Right to left”, one of the albums leading singles that illustrate the streets of Cape Town in a soulful capture that will make your head bop. 5th Floor was assembled in 1996 in Cape Town South Africa and it consists of Camo & Kasual T accompanied by a 4 piece band. 2009 saw 5th Floor release their 2nd album Sex & Revolution independently through So Treal Music. 2009 5th Floor was nominated for best group in the Hype Magazine Awards and also selected amongst 5 South African artists for Africa Unsigned. The crew also appeared alongside Hip Hop acclaimed international outfit Slum Village from Detroit U.S.A. on their “I Love Hip Hop” S.A. tour in April 2009. The screening will be at OST in Newtown Johannesburg on Sunday 14th of February 2010. Also screening on the day will be Ill-Literate-skills’ acclaimed single “Roc O Flo” and ECT crew’s single “Jozi Cats”. All three crews will be there to play their songs live to bring it back to the source that gave birth to the videos.
DJ Kenzhero and Dj Raiko will be manning the Turn tables for the rest of the afternoon into early the evening while the guest get the chance to mingle and get to know the artist. Entry will be only R50 and drinks and drinks will be on sale.
