Safe Sex with Jenerik Soulz

Fresh urban group Jenerik Soulz together with Dance4Life with the help of Durex is giving away a hamper to 5 lucky Pretoria/Johannesburg residents during condom week.  Condom week was launched in February 2004 by the Department of Health under the leadership of the late Manto Tshabala–Msimang to bring to light the importance of safe sexual practices through the use of condoms and particularly emphasizing the responsibility in preventing the transmission of STIs and HIV/AIDS.  The new ambassadors of Dance4Life will be running a competition from the 8th to 12th February 2010 to do their part in contributing to the awareness of this initiative.  Dance4life is an NGO that is dedicated to raising HIV awareness and teaching important life skills to the youth of South Africa. 
Research has shown that condom use is highest among younger people and lowest among older people however condom usage should be encouraged across the board. Because we live in a highly populated, diverse country, a true reflection of the number of people walking around with STIs and HIV/AIDS can never really be known.  What is fact, is that South Africa is believed to have one of the highest number of HIV/AIDS victims in the world.  Join Jenerik Soulz in support of Condom Week and help spread the fight of this prominent health concern. 

We live in a sex-crazed world and while it may seem impossible to completely abstain from sex, there are other ways in which each of us can protect ourselves and our loved ones. Encourage continuous condom use and discourage concurrent sexual relationships amongst your peers and always think about the risk of transmitting STIs and HIV/AIDS. Sex is one of those worldly pleasures that should be enjoyed amongst the mature citizens of society. Have your fun, but do it responsibly.
