Kwaito artist and recent 'Survivor South Africa' celebrity contestant Jub Jub was allegedly involved in a drag racing accident in Soweto last night. According to published reports, the singer and his friend were dicing on a two lane road in Soweto. A car in the oncoming lane forced one of the cars that was drag racing to get back into the left lane. The cars that were dicing crashed into each other, spun out of control and hit some high school children, killing 4 on the scene and another one later in the hospital. It is alleged that Jub Jub and his friend were drinking alchol and using cocaine at the time of the crash. Our prayers go out to the families of the children who have passed on.

The artist joined the stable of other renowned SA Dj’s and Artists in October 2009 and was released from the stable early February 2010.Under the current circumstances, we are aware the media and public alike are still under the impression that the Artist is still managed by the company and would like to set the record straight. As a company and a stable of renowned SA Artists all of whom have impeccable reputations and are well disciplined, we do have to distance ourselves from the current troubles that Jub Jub finds himself in.This being said, no-one is perfect and we remain friends with the artist and do feel terrible for him and we do still offer moral support for him and his family in this time of need. More importantly, Splakavellis Management would like to offer their condolences and prayers to the families of the kids whose lives were tragically taken in this crash."

i am so pissed off that these celebs think that just because they are stars that they can do as they want. four innocent kids who had not had the chance to live there lives to the fullest had to die because of drugs and booze. i feel that the assehole should go to jail for the rest of his pathetic life, and become someone's bitch. i feel very sorry for the familys. and send my deepest condolences to them. the bastard should fry. very pissed off
I'm sure the law will take it's cause when it comes to this. As for the allegations of drugs and what would have caused this I don't know.What I do know is there are a lot of messed up lives and dreams right now. It's sad when lives get lost in this manner and no matter how much we scream or shout at those guys it's not going to change the facts.We can only stand together in support of the families as from here onwards nothing will ever bring back those lost lives.
I agree that punishment should fit the crime... BUT before blindly judging this boy, think of all the times you or people you know have been driving drunk and recklessly. Let this serve as an example to all- celebrity and Ordinary Joe alike. If you are constantly driving over the legal alcohol limit, you are a Jub jub waiting to happen.
Jub Jub was so irresponsible! there is nothing else to do but to sent him straight to jail! he messed up big time and if he has any remorse he will know and admit to this

i am just hoping that this will be a REINFORCEMENT to anyone that drives whilst under the influence of ALCOHOL/DRUGS. Shame, I feel sad for both Jub Jub and the kid's families.But LET ANYONE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE.
I like how the celebrities are doing the CHARITY CONCERT, however I feel the proceeds should go towards educating young people about the ALCOHOL & DRUG ABUSE. Because truth be told I have driven drunk (too many times for my liking :-(), and till now I never actually conceptualised how quickly I can go from a young girl having a good time to a CRIMINAL.

So often we are ready to cast a stone if it's a celeb involved forgeting they are human too. However that been said I still say let the law take it's cause. I just wonder would there be a benefit concert if Tom and not Dick and Harry were involved?

I mean I have raced a Porsche little did i think further than beating the guy (which I didn't) but it could have been worse.
South African celebrities are irrisponsible because they are not going to jail. Jub Jub kill 4 kids but trust me , He is not going to be locked up which is something that must happen. And if is not community must take care of the situation. It a pure murder.
I say let the law take it's cause, was he driving the first Mini or the second mini? Where they drag racing or was there a car chase? I just want to flip the coin a bit cause we are yet to hear both sides of the story and already casting stones. I say whoever is at fault should get punishment for the wrong doing. We cannot however take the law into our own hands unless if it's an excuse to share a room with the said killers.

Jubjub must be sent to jail for the rest of his life, if you give him bail, we will take the law into our own hands. i hate this STUPID CELEB
This is really painful and im sending my condolences to the kids families but im sure this was an eye opener to other young pupil especially "celebrities". After this case im sure the law will do something and act on this case. Lebo
Jub jub my broer,what you did is kak,i know that we sometimes drive under the influence of alcohol,but street racing especially in a busy roads,ag man what were u thinking?,u realy should be locked in jail and probably 4 the rest of your life,otherwise umphakathi will handle you!
