Top Indian designers Satya Paul and Manish Malhotra have reached our shores to showcase the latest fashion trends Bollywood style. The Indian fashion week will be hosted at the Turbine hall in Newtown later today. I had an opportunity to get a sneak preview on some of the garments that will be showcased and I can reveal to you that you will not be disappointed.
The designers aim to impress not only with their collection but they have also brought some of India’s top designers and beauty queens so expect to see some beauty supported by our very own local talent.
I may not know Manish as I designer or many of the Bollywood stars he has dressed but some of the names are the likes of Michael Jackson, Jean-Claude van Damme and Kylie Monogue. I can’t wait to see the rest of the collection titled “Celebration”.
Satya Paul has been in the fashion industry for 25 years. His designs extend to men’s accessories such as ties, cufflinks, wallets, belts as well as women’s scarf’s and bags. He has titled his collections “Zen, Zest, Zip, Zap and Zing”. It features a mixture of the traditional sari with the western culture.
