Stevel Marc Launch

After being harassed about it for over 2 months, the launch of Stevel Marc’s website finally happened at The Zone's over used Ster–Kinekor. The reason for this is that Stevel had arranged a pre-screening of the movie “Step Up 3 in 3D” as part of the celebrations at his apparent new "home.". Or at least I suspect that he might intend to spend more time in the cinema. The model come actor who recently entered the acting world played a part in a theatre piece called “Flying Kites with boys”. This boy not only obtained sponsorship from Blackberry, but also drives a Suzuki, is dressed by Fubu and David Tlale and has teamed up with L’oreal and HP, talk about endorsing! Give other kids a chance dude...Vitamin Water and Thirst also partnered with the lad, so the bar was packed to the T, so much so that I decided not to drink, it might have had something to do with the fact that my favourite vodka brand that had refused to sponsor my party last year, was on the house. I’m talking Ciroc baby...You know you are in control when you can resist that! Anyway.

The MC of the night was none other than Tumisho Masha from Top Billing who claimed that he wasn’t getting paid to MC the event, funny guy... Clinch Crew who just came back from a tour in LA took time to showcase their dancing skills. I missed the name of another dance group that also performed there because I was too busy getting my popcorn and drink. Had to refill the salt in my system y’all. *wink*

Celebs like Slikour and Psyfo came to support Stevel, unless of course they'd come for the movie screening and free pop corn?

RJKay need to supply Psyfo with a new wardrobe, he came wearing the same jacket he wore at the SAMA’s. Although it looks cool on him, something from their winter collection would be nice. It was also good to see the likes of Tazz Ngida who seemed to be having a boys night out, I wonder him and his friends left their wives...

Spotted at the event, Koelle Kayembe and Jen Su:

The lovely Ms Terry Pheto:

I have briefly browsed through the site, it showcases Stevel's pics, links to various news sites, his top ten songs, his sponsors and various commercials he has done. I'm not sure why YFM’s Scoop has a blog on the site, but then again who am I to judge? The Jamaican born Stevel has done himself proud and you know what? I’m proud of his achievements too. He has the “get up let’s do it” mentality that I believe if many South African’s had, they would be far in life. Not just a pretty face that parades clothes on ramps, he is a dreamer and an achiever. Visit www.stevelmarc.com to see what it's all about.

Follow me on twitter here. Peace!
