As you know, its women’s month and we sisters are taking over everything in sight. On Friday, YFM and women took over ZAR for the Yfm Girls in Heaven Party. Welcomed by a tall, dark but not so handsome gentleman dressed in white, Caesar style, we were led into the elevator that would take us to “heaven”. The theme for the night was Heavenly Swag, which required all the invited dames to be in white, gold or silver and I was glad to see that most of the ladies adhered to the dress code. ZAR is a beautiful venue, but with the extra effort to have femininity dominating, the place was looking really impressive, with the white, gold and silver decor and I was glad to see that more “Chocolate Caesers” showing off their six-packs were walking around with large feathers for our pleasure. The first hour and a half of the party was exclusively for the ladies but the mood was surprisingly chilled at first, almost as if everyone was waiting for the “you can go wild” cue and it wasn’t until the strippers came up on stage that the screaming began and didn’t stop for a long time.
Because the male anatomy provides me with minimal excitement, I opted for topping my glass up and exchanging compliments with the hot ladies that had come through.

The host herself, Hypress looked stunning in a silver dress, Bonang Matheba came in a cute sequence dress from GJC’s collection of course. Other hot mama’s in the house were Farah Fortune, Bianca Le Grange, Sophie Ndaba, Lucia Mthinyane, Tansey Coetzee, Mpho Maboi, Vinyl Angel and the cute faces of the unknown Yfm newsreaders Motshidisi Mohono and Anele Mtsikwa:

I’m also pretty sure I saw Cape Town based model Precious Makgaretsa somewhere in the mix. Iko Mash was dressed in black; I suppose he didn’t feel like dressing to the theme? Amstel from 3 sum chose to dance his sorrows away a day after finding out about the passing of fellow group member Jeff Moyo, let’s not judge him because his life would have to go on either way.
I’m not quite sure when the guys arrived but I was glad to hear some low pitched voices in the background. There was off course eye candy, Yfm’s Sizwe Dlhomo and Siyabonga Ngwekazi. Tholi B was also there:

The fresh-to-def Lesley Mampe and his night vision shades, producer Beatmaker, funny men David Kau and Ndumiso Lindi; (I’m starting to think he is also getting bald as I have yet to see him without a hat) also made an appearance. I also spotted socialite Thulane “Toolz” Hadebe and Khanyi Mbau’s manager Linda Moeketsi; I wonder where the Real Miss K was? Footballer Morgan Gould was walking around with way too much Redbull but I don’t blame him, the party was banging.
I was having so much fun that I didn’t even pay attention to the people behind the decks, all I know is that someone took us on an old school hip-hop and RnB journey and the music was great. A superb evening with nice food, drinks and great entertainment, I’m almost sure everybody left with a fuzzy head and some were even rumoured to have left the club at 5am. Thank you to Yfm and Hypress for kick starting women’s month in style.
