Please don't ask me why that title is so American, I sometimes speak like a rapper in my head. Anywhoo, Vuzu is one of South Africa's hottest television properties, with faboosh presenters like South African sweetheart Nonhle Thema, alternative cutie Siyabonga Ngwekazi and edgy shows like South Park and The Verge. So when yet another Twitter complaint surfaced about the manner in which Vuzu allegedly swagger jacked someone's content, I had to check it out. (can you tell I'm bored at home?). Last week blogger, brand manager and socialite Thulane Hadebe tweeted that he was angry because he had a strong suspicion Vuzu was stealing content from his blog. Pop the hood for more Vuzu v Bloggers.
He tweeted that he was OK with people taking content from his blog as long as they credited him. He believed that they were not, and was annoyed. I don't watch TV so cant comment on the VUZU/Thulane alleged content theft but I do know the feeling of having your content used by lazies who don't have the time to write up their own news. Stop it. You know who you are.*side eye*
This week, on the 7th of January, Gabisile Ndebele tweeted Vuzu saying:
TheGabi: @v_entertainment, when u illegally use @JasonVonBerg 's clip pls refrain 4m calling my guy "our paparazzi" bcos he is so not.
*Ayeye Gabi!*
Thulane retweeted her and then Jason Von Berg of the Times online(the alleged paparazzo) tweeted:
okay hold(up) guys @TheGabi @ThulaneH Wtf happened? What clip and why are they calling me paparazzi????
It all turned out to be a big misunderstanding as a bit later Jason tweeted:
@lucillebudhu no no if it's the clip I'm thinking off, they bought it so they're allowed to... that story was a stuff up anyway, more to it!
@lucillebudhu Aah thanks man... Doin my thang, trying to shine not destroy ya know! Hope u cool?
*sigh* I love a story with a happy ending.

Celeb Spotting in Cape Town
Cape Town seems to be the destination of choice for local and international celebrities to spend a few days soaking up the sun, sand and slow driving of the Cape Town residents. Here is a JUCY update of celebs we spotted on the Cape Town streets.
Vanessa Marawa, model, radio and TV presenter and South Africa's first Survivor winner was spotted looking very hot with short natural hair. She is keeping busy with a slot on 104.9 radio and TV presenting and modelling. Look out for her in the upcoming Kick Off Magazine's Soccerbabes. *work it V*
An up and coming celeb spotted in Cape Town was Mome from the VUZU show Cream Cartel. Ive seen her in clubs like Zula on Long Street, Butterfly Bar on Bree studio's. She looked fresh and was without her Cream Cartel crew and camera's.
Onto something I don't know that much about; Sports stars.
Edgar Davis is a Dutch football player who is apparently super famous and good at what he does. I'm not a soccer person but this is about famous people in Cape Town so he makes the list. He was enjoying sun downers at a seaside cafe with his blond wife and their baby. Fans kept walking up to him to greet and get autographs and he was gracious throughout. Edgar in his trademark goggles:
Another sports star spotted was cricket player Herschelle Gibbs. Gibbs was out the night before test match. Apparently that's a bad thing?... Anywhoo.. on to the next. This pic of the cricketers was taken at a launch last year. (Thanks to Zimbio for the pic)
Tkzee, Jozi and Skwatta Kamp were here for the MTN gig. Da LES was spotted in Camps Bay having drinks with model Cherrie Flave and friends. She twit pic'd this picture of them:
Cute. I want that pink watch.
Ivanka Trump was honeymooning in Cape Town with her husband Jared Kushner. The two took in wine farms, went on Safari and explored the coastlines of Cape Town.
Ivanka tweeted throughout out her trip that it was "magical" " terrific" and "gorgeous"
That pretty much sums up my summer how was yours?
